Tulsi Gabbard, DOJ, Obama, Biden, Russian Interference, 2016 Election, Marco Rubio,Political Hypocrisy, Call to Action
There’s political grandstanding, and then there’s whatever the hell Tulsi Gabbard just did.
In case you missed it—maybe you were busy living in the real world where facts matter—Tulsi Gabbard has officially referred Barack Obama and Joe Biden to the Department of Justice, requesting a criminal investigation into their involvement in the investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election. Yes, you read that right. She wants the DOJ to prosecute Obama and Biden—for investigating a known and confirmed attack on our democracy.
Let’s rewind the tape for Tulsi, because apparently facts have a harder time getting through to her than that white streak she bleaches into her hair.
It wasn’t Obama or Biden who randomly launched some witch hunt. It was our own intelligence community—the FBI, CIA, NSA—and yes, a bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee that found clear evidence that Russia interfered in the 2016 election. And who was chairing that Senate subcommittee at the time? None other than Republican Senator Marco Rubio. You know, the same guy who kissed Trump’s ring after losing to him in the primaries.
And what did that committee
“Russia’s goals were to undermine public faith in the U.S. democratic process…and to harm Secretary Clinton’s electability and potential presidency.”
So let’s get this straight: Russia interferes in our election. The U.S. government—under a sitting president—investigates that interference. And now, almost a decade later, Tulsi Gabbard is trying to spin that into some sort of deep-state criminal conspiracy?
Give me a break.
This isn’t patriotism. This isn’t justice. This is pandering to the cult of Trump, plain and simple. Tulsi’s entire political brand has morphed into a red-hat cosplay act with a side of Fox News audition tape. She’s not calling for truth—she’s calling for retribution. She’s throwing meat to a base that thinks truth is optional and facts are fake unless Trump tweets them in all caps.
And if you think this is just about Biden and Obama, think again.
This is about rewriting history. It’s about punishing those who stood up to a hostile foreign power. It’s about making sure the next time a foreign government attacks our democracy, everyone in government is too scared to do a damn thing about it.
We should be thanking Obama and Biden for their restraint, frankly. Trump knew about Russian interference and didn’t do a thing. Hell, he invited it. Remember “Russia, if you’re listening…”? But sure, let’s investigate the people who actually tried to protect our elections.
Enough.
Everyone reading this needs to contact their Congressperson today. Not tomorrow. Not after dinner. Today. Tell them that Tulsi Gabbard’s attack on our former President and sitting President is not only absurd—it’s dangerous. Tell them we expect our representatives to speak up when truth is under assault by those pushing propaganda. Because that’s what this is: propaganda dressed up as patriotism.
And Tulsi, if you’re listening: maybe spend a little less time tweeting like Tucker Carlson’s ghostwriter and a little more time reading the bipartisan Senate reports you pretend don’t exist.
Because the rest of us still believe in the United States of America.
